Your software team in Lagos, working on your time

Hire Orion Soft, a Lagos software development company, for web apps, mobile apps, SaaS, healthcare and education software. UTC+1 working hours, fixed-price quotes in USD, GBP or EUR, NDA on request.

Orion Soft builds web apps, mobile apps and business software for companies and organisations worldwide: experienced engineers, fixed-price quotes, weekly demos, and software already running in Nigerian hospitals and schools.

What time zone do you work in? West Africa Time (UTC+1, no daylight saving). That is the same time as London in summer and one hour ahead in winter, and the same as Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam in winter. US East Coast mornings overlap with our afternoons. We schedule calls around your working day.

How do we communicate during a project? In English, on the tools you already use: Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, email or WhatsApp. You get a weekly demo of working software and a written progress update, and you can reach the project lead directly.

How do you price projects? Most projects are fixed-price, agreed in writing before work starts and paid by milestone. For ongoing work we offer a dedicated developer or team at a monthly rate, and support and maintenance retainers after launch. We quote in US dollars, pounds or euros.

How do we pay you from abroad? We invoice in your currency and accept payment by card (Visa, Mastercard) or bank transfer. Payment details are on each invoice.

Will you sign an NDA, and who owns the code? Yes, we are happy to sign your NDA before you share details. Ownership of the code and intellectual property is set out in the contract, so you know exactly what you will own before work begins.

Do you understand data protection rules? Yes. We build with privacy by design and work within the Nigeria Data Protection Act; for clients in the UK and EU we follow your GDPR requirements, including data processing agreements where needed.

Can you build for users in Africa? That is our home ground. Our hospital and school systems run in Nigeria today, on patchy internet and power, with local payment, tax and regulatory rules. If you are launching a product, programme or service in Africa, we can build it to work for the people who will actually use it.
